About me

Hi, I'm Weronika (she/they) — founder, nutritional therapist, and full-time overthinker of what's on my plate (literally).

I'm queer, gender fluid, and AuDHD, and my relationship with food has had a journey! It kicked off in the early 2000s, right as diet culture was having its main character moment — and for years I was fully in it, avoiding eating things I shouldn't have been avoiding and treating food like a group project I never signed up for.

Then came the diagnosis that should’ve changed everything: gluten intolerance and IBS. Turns out my body had been trying to tell me something the whole time, and I'd just been too ignorant of my own body to listen. You’d think that this would’ve helped me sort my eating habits out - alas no. But I did get curious instead — what does work for my body? — and that curiosity eventually became strong enough to send me back to school for a Nutrition degree.

Halfway through came a plot twist: I got diagnosed AuDHD too. Rather than derailing me, it did the opposite — it explained a lot (hello, hyperfixation) and made me fall even harder for nutrition and wellness. Turns out understanding your own brain is a pretty good foundation for understanding your own body and understanding the links between the two was truly eye opening.

So that's the origin story: diet culture dropout, gut-health detective, nutrition nerd, proudly AuDHD. Queer and Nourished exists for anyone who's ever felt like generic nutrition advice simply wasn't written with their brain — or their body — in mind.

You're exactly who I built this for.
